ZingiLab ("we", "us") operates zingilab.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

2. Data We Collect

Account Data

Name, email address, and profile image provided via Google OAuth sign-in. We do not store your Google password.

Learning Data

Vocabulary searches, saved words, flashcard progress, spaced-repetition statistics, and study streaks.

IELTS Practice Data

Speaking audio recordings, writing essay submissions, listening dictation responses, and reading comprehension answers. AI-generated band scores and feedback are stored alongside your submissions.

Usage Data

Activity logs including page views, feature usage patterns, and session timestamps. We do not track your browsing activity outside ZingiLab.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide and improve the vocabulary learning and IELTS practice features
  • Generate personalized AI feedback on your IELTS practice attempts
  • Track your learning progress, streaks, and spaced-repetition schedules
  • Send daily study reminders (if opted in)
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access

4. Cookies

Necessary Cookies

Authentication session cookies required for sign-in functionality. Cookie consent preference (zb_cookie_consent). These cannot be disabled.

Analytics Cookies

Optional cookies that help us understand how you use the service. You can manage these preferences in Settings > Cookie Preferences.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Google OAuth — for authentication
  • OpenAI — for AI-generated feedback and content (your data is sent to OpenAI's API for processing)
  • Stripe — for payment processing (we do not store credit card numbers)
  • Google Cloud Platform — for hosting and data storage

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Activity logs are retained for 180 days by default. You can request earlier deletion by contacting us or by deleting your account from the Settings page.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Account Deletion. Upon deletion, your personal data, learning history, IELTS submissions, and audio recordings are permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

ZingiLab is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for deletion.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can manage your data preferences in Settings. For GDPR-related requests, contact us at support@zingilab.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
